Officers from the Charles County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene of a shooting in the area of Jameson Court in Indian head, according to officials.

The victim was set to be flown to the hospital, they said. No information about a possible suspect has been provided by the sheriff's office.

More details are expected to be released by investigators.
